La Tasca Shortlisted for Menu Innovation Award
Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant La Tasca has been shortlisted for the Menu Innovation Award at the Casual Dining Restaurant Awards 2017. The brand is among 67 casual dining restaurant and pub operators that are shortlisted as finalists across 14 categories.
The prestigious event is set to take place on 22nd February at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square where dozens of brands from the sector will gather. The awards evening will be hosted by Rugby World Cup winner and ex-England scrum-half Matt Dawson MBE and have been labelled the ‘Oscars’ of the industry.
La Tasca’s shortlisting comes after the main menu underwent a huge revamp in autumn 2016 which saw the introduction of an eye-catching selection of main courses, perfect for those who don’t like sharing. The brand also introduced recipe upgrades for its famous range of Spanish-style Paellas that continue to be served ‘the Valencian way’ to the delight of its guests.
Alongside the main courses, a range of new dishes were introduced to the much-loved tapas menu, reiterating the importance of fresh, tasty flavours on the main menu. The additions mean La Tasca currently has 24 tasty tapas dishes to choose from in five different categories; Pescado, Pollo, Verdura, Carne and Charcuteria.
Glenn Evans, Head of Food Development for La Tasca, said:
“It’s a real achievement for everyone involved within the La Tasca family and for the menu to be recognised in this category shows how much work the team has put in. Competition on the high street is so fierce that if you’re not seen to be innovating your food offer, or creating a point of difference while offering good value, then guests will go somewhere else.”
